The Week Ahead

This coming week is the calm before the storm in terms of Macro events and the storm that is Tariffs into the start of April. There’s likely to be a lot of noise and mud slinging this week. I am prepared for volatility as has been the case all week. China Development Forum does take place this coming week. Several US CEOs are likely to attend this QCOM, PFE, AAPL, GOOG. It may also be a boost for Chinese stocks or we may see some partnership announcements. The attendees list is quite vague.

There is not a lot happening this week in terms of earnings. It’s a bit of a MEME stock week actually. LUNR, OKLO, RUM, GME, CHWY are the WallStBets type stocks. Could be an interesting week with this type of stock reporting. Worth keeping watch on all the speculative themes. Also of interest are DLTR, BRZE & LULU. The latter probably my highlight earnings of the week. Special mention to PONY a Chinese AI (Autonomous Vehicle Systems) recent IPO that I’ve read up on, interested to see how it reacts. I feel like it has the ability to run (maybe!). Finally BROS investor day on Thursday maybe worth noting also.

My market outlook is a ‘‘see how it goes’’. I think we definitely have the ability to rally a few days this week but after that remains to be seen. Nice action on Friday will have plenty of people long over the weekend (including myself). The media noise is incredibly loud right now. It really pays to block 99.9% of it out and just watch how the market moves. Watch the open but more importantly watch the close…
