The Week Ahead

The big news at the weekend is a potential trade war with the US initiating large Tariffs on Mexico, China & Canada. I have absolutely no idea how this is going to play out. I’d guess these will be short lived and negotiations will start quickly with all Countries involved but who knows.

The consensus is definitely that the markets will not like it. People are talking about limit down and inflation rising etc. Trump has being saying he was going to do this for a long time. I have been mentioning it repeatedly here as a new narrative. It was widely known this was going to happen. Maybe people didn’t think he’d pull the trigger but my guess is there will be a nice bounce to play here next week. Possibly even as early as Monday. Let’s see!
