1) Cintas Corporation (CTAS) (Rating: B+, Single-Day)

Industry Group: Consumer Services, Market Cap: $78b, Float: 345m, Short Interest: 1.19%, Days to Cover: 2.3, Exchange: NASDAQ

Catalyst: Solid Beat on EPS ($1.13 vs est. $1.06), Slight Beat on Revs. Revs accelerating, Beat on Gross Margins and Operating Margins. Slight raise in guidance on EPS and Revs, beating analyst estimates. Slower mover. This is more of a different option for today vs a lot of the fast mover and MEME type names in play. Sitting above all MAs pre market at right at $200 round number.

Honorable Mention to:

GME/CHWY- GME Beat on EPS last night, whilst missing on Revs. All pretty much expected. The main catalyst here is the confirmation of creation of a Bitcoin Treasury. Essentially going down the MSTR route. They have almost $5b on hand and MEME status. The stock hit $30 Pre Market which was the most recent high. I expect volatility in it today and opportunity, likely more of a pullback play. Though I think it may take more announcements or Roaring Kitty tweet to send it above $30. CHWY is linked, they also had earnings, more positive actual fundamentals but I expect them to trade in tandem somewhat today (relatively speaking).

SURG - Low Priced stock, big miss on EPS, small beat on Revs. Issued strong guidance for $200m in Revs and that the company would be cash flow positive by end of 2025. Small float, highly volatile stock, Not a lot of Short Interest but the catalyst could be enough to keep it moving hard today. Up 80% Pre Market.

We built the infrastructure. Now we are scaling. With AT&T integration complete and LinkUp Mobile launching nationally, SurgePays is positioned for the most aggressive revenue growth phase in our history."

Market Awareness

Not much changed yesterday. I think we continue to rally today or tomorrow. Yesterday was a narrow pause day. Choppy action in most stocks. Likely to continue today. QQQ closed above the 200MA and will be looking to hold that for the rest of the week. Hitting singles, taking my time in the first hour of the market. No rush. Watching some technical plays from my Top Picks list - NVDA, RBRK, ALAB.

I will be travelling tomorrow and Friday so I don’t expect to publish a newsletter unless I have time.

PS: There are many ways to trade stocks in play. It does not have to be the one that keeps going straight up and sometimes it doesn’t even have to be day one of the catalyst. Everyone must find a setup, timeframe and method that works for them. This list is supposed to educate on the criteria I use and the methods in which I find Stocks in Play. Yours may differ and that is completely okay.
