1) Twilio (TWLO) (Rating: B, Multi-Day)

Industry Group: Packaged Software, Market Cap: $20.9b, Float: 172m, Short Interest: 2.1%, Days to Cover: 1.07, Exchange: NYSE

Catalyst: Pre Announced at an investor day. Raising their Revenue guide to 11% YoY vs previous 7%. This acceleration is quite bullish for this beaten down former Tech darling stock which hit highs of $400 during the Covid Bubble. Management tend to be somewhat positive all the time but this should have some legs. Coming out of a nice consolidation. Some big Upgrades from A+ Analysts Baird from $115 to $160 and JP Morgan from $83 to $130.

2) Novo Nordisk (NVO) (Rating: A, Multi-Day)

Industry Group: Pharmaceuticals, Market Cap: $270.9b, Float: 3.38b, Short Interest: 0.1%, Days to Cover: 1.11, Exchange: NYSE

Catalyst: Positive Topline Data from Phase 1b/2a trial. The primary endpoint was the treatment of emergent adverse events. People treated with amycretin achieved an estimated body weight loss of 9.7% on 1.25mg (20 weeks), 16.2% on 5mg (28 weeks) and 22.0% on 20mg (36 weeks).

Stock extremely beaten down after a negative narrative in the company’s race vs competitor. Only negative here is that it’s an ADR that tends to not have a huge intraday range. Nice level at $89 to work against if it pulls back near the open. Candidate for a multi day run.

Honorable Mention to: LUNR - Moving on a small $2.5m NASA contract announcement. Shouldn’t move it but hot sector.

Market Awareness

Bullish on the market. Nice tight range action yesterday. Big week next week. Have had a solid week so don’t intend on going wild here but think we could get some nice moves today in stocks.

I would be wary against shakeout early next week so will be looking at Day Trades in the Stocks in Play I have identified. Hitting Singles is still my game.

PS: There are many ways to trade stocks in play. It does not have to be the one that keeps going straight up and sometimes it doesn’t even have to be day one of the catalyst. Everyone must find a setup, timeframe and method that works for them. This list is supposed to educate on the criteria I use and the methods in which I find Stocks in Play. Yours may differ and that is completely okay.
