1) Coherent Corp (COHR) (Rating: B, Multi-Day)
Industry Group: Electronic Technology, Market Cap: $13.92b, Float: 150m, Short Interest: 4%, Days to Cover: 2, Exchange: NYSE
Catalyst: Strong Beat on EPS ($0.95 vs est. $0.69), Solid Beat on Revs. Revs Growing 27% YoY. Guide Inline/Beat - The Range is pretty wide but it’s on the upper end. Plenty of room to run. Sitting at $100 Pre Market. Looks like a good delayed reaction candidate.
2) Peloton (PTON) (Rating: B+, Multi-Day)
Industry Group: Consumer Cyclical, Market Cap: $3.25b, Float: 340m, Short Interest: 17%, Days to Cover: 4.5, Exchange: NASDAQ
Catalyst: Slight miss on EPS (-$0.24 vs est. -$0.18), Reasonable Revs Beat, Revs Guide Broadly in line. Beat on important KPI - Paid Subs & EBITDA. Full Year Guide Increased. Big EBITDA Beat. Solid report on this fallen soldier. Chart has plenty of room to move. Potential Multi Day move here. Notable high short interest but not a low float.
Honorable Mention to: RBLX - Getting whacked this morning after earnings. The stock has been on a run so seems to have gotten ahead of itself. Beat on Revs.. DAUs is an important metric that they missed on + slight Bookings miss. Negative 20% pre market to $60. I think there is more room to bleed but there may be a decent bounce trade here today. Alternatively there is likely a short on a pop if that’s what floats your boat!
Market Awareness
No Market outlook today as I am not trading myself. Originally wasn’t going to send out today but got a half hour and wanted to make it for the sake of consistency. There will be (probably!) no newsletter tomorrow as I have some family matters to take care of. All good just an unexpected problem this week!
After Hours I’m Watching: AMZN, AFRM, NET, PINS, FTNT (Earnings)

PS: There are many ways to trade stocks in play. It does not have to be the one that keeps going straight up and sometimes it doesn’t even have to be day one of the catalyst. Everyone must find a setup, timeframe and method that works for them. This list is supposed to educate on the criteria I use and the methods in which I find Stocks in Play. Yours may differ and that is completely okay.
