Market Awareness

Publishing early this morning as I have some appointments this morning meaning I will miss the Pre Market & Open. There may be some good disconnected Stocks in Play that pop up between now and the open but realistically unless something is a Biotech or big Squeeze then everything will be chopped by the market in the lead up to the Tariff announcements.

I don’t really care about whether Tariffs are good, bad, terrible or amazing. What matters is the market reaction.

Things I take note of:

• Narrative is super bearish and fearful.

• This is the beginning of a new Quarter so you can be absolutely sure that big money has themselves positioned the way they see this going.

• Trump usually over does it on rhetoric but relents on the actual day.

• The market undercut the March low on Monday in what would be a perfect double bottom/undercut and rally type move.

A nice scenario is panic into tomorrow after ‘‘worst case’’ announcements today. Major VIX spike, large downside move in Indices only for the calls to come in from leaders around the world and Tariffs to be delayed for talks to take place all round.

Alternatively tariffs are more tempered and the market rallies directly after them. I personally think this is the worst scenario as it probably creates a scenario for a fade in the days following as the overhang and narrative is still there.

These are just scenarios and market reactions I have in mind. Watch the reaction, the actual minute details of the news will be so fluid that they don’t matter.

Today is a day to be prepared rather than use your mental capital trying to trade through the day of probable chop.
