1) Rocket Lab USA (Rating: B+, Single-Day)

Industry Group: Aerospace & Defence, Market Cap: $9b, Float: 371m, Short Interest: 16.95%, Days to Cover: 3.4, Exchange: NASDAQ

Catalyst: Company announced that they had been selected by the US Airforce to participate within it’s EWAAC contract. It has also been selected to be a part of a similar Vendor list in the UK. These programs are just a framework but it does signal RKLB move into Defense contracts vs Commercial. Seems like a solid Stock in Play idea to me, whilst also not being a major catalyst. Daily chart is poised for a range expansion.

Honorable Mention to: BA (Short) - Chinese government are playing politics with US companies. Reportedly have instructed Chinese airlines to refuse delivery of BA Planes. Stock is down 3.5% Pre Market. Could be a solid short idea for today if it pops up on the open before fading again. NFLX - Wall St Journal reported that NFLX aims to double their market cap to $1t by 2030 as well as double it’s revenue and generate $9b in global ad sales. Earnings on Thursday evening, this may help a front run today of that earnings report.

Market Awareness

Relatively quiet morning. Futures slightly red. I don’t see a lot of news for Stocks in Play. Typical short week in the markets. We’re still poised within this larger down trending channel on both the QQQ and the SPY. I think we will likely have a failed breakout from here or simply chop around for a while.

Today and for the rest of the week I believe less is more. I’m not interested in pressing on a short low volume week after having a great start to this month. Tactical trades or none at all.
